Young women become homeless for lots of different reasons - if you are, then Karinya Young Women's Service can provide you with accommodation and support.
We provide supported crisis accommodation in Launceston to young women 13 to 20 years old. Any young woman using this service will be treated with respect and sensitivity.
Rough-sleeping is one form of homelessness but it’s certainly not the only one
Karinya Young Women’s Service provides short term crisis accommodation in Launceston to young women aged 13 to 20 years; we are a Specialist Homelessness Service provider.
Karinya accepts referrals from service providers such as Anglicare and Headspace, along with school social workers, the Police, and other community/health services.
Karinya is a house in Launceston that can be shared with up to six young women and provides a space for young women to learn necessary life skills for independent living.
